We offer two guided tours led by our knowledgeable staff.  

Find out about the history of Poole through a guided tour of the displays and exhibitions at Poole Museum.


Uncover the history of our stunning building with an exclusive tour of our buildings, including the Town Cellars and Scaplen’s Court*.

Tours can be booked for groups of up to 20 people and are subject to availability.Tours last around an hour at a cost of £75 per group.

Our new season’s programme will cover trains, boats and planes, art, archaeology, war and literature. We will be discovering how railways developed in Purbeck, delving into 400 year old surgery techniques, reliving the days of Poole as 17th century trading port and enjoying a slice of social history with the Boots Booklovers’ Library. Find out how many works of local public art you can identify and span the ages from pre-history on Brownsea Island to Poole in the First World War.
